Day 01: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

Today you set out early, collecting from your Nairobi hotel and heading south to stunning Lake Nakuru National Park. We arrive at your lodge by noon, in the time for pleasant lunch. Your afternoon game drive will reveal all the wonders of Lake Nakuru National Park often referred shimmering pink haze as hundreds of flamingos descend upon it.

As well as the herds of elephant, Lake Nakuru is home to Buffalo, lion, wildebeest, Zebra, and gazelle while gerenuk and fringe-eared Oryx are local specialties. Lake Nakuru marshy shores are the lure for these mammals and the waters attraction many beautiful bird species, too. Look out for giant kingfishers, hoopoes and delightful-named white bellied go away the bird. At the end of an inspiring afternoon amongst the wildlife, you retire to the comfort of the lodge for an evening meal and same rest.

Day 02: Lake Nakuru To Masai Mara

After your breakfast at the lodge, you leave Lake Nakuru early and enjoy a short, pleasant afternoon drive to world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve; a huge area of woodland and open plains backed by striking Esoit Oloololo Escarpment.

Enjoy exploring the stunning landscape of the park, looking for wildlife on the plains, in the acacia woodlands. Masai Mara is rightly famous for its large number of big cats, but they’re far from the only highlight: by the end of an exhilarating afternoon, you could easily have spotted elephant, hippo, wildebeest, buffalo, and giraffe, plus many other species. In the rainy season, this area is flooded by over a million wildebeest on the annual migration. At the end of the afternoon, it’s back to your lodge for some relaxation and a delicious dinner

Day 03: Masai Mara

Today you wake before dawn to start you morning game drive when the sun comes up, one of the times of the day when most animals tend to be more active. After what is hopefully an exciting morning’s drive you return to camp/lodge for lunch and to relax during the heat of the day. You set off again in the afternoon and expect to return to camp around sunset. However, depending on wildlife movements, you may on occasion do a full day’s game drive and in this instance, we’ll stop en-route for a picnic lunch.

Day 04: Masai Mara to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you collect your lunch boxes and leave Masai Mara National Reserve. Your journey takes you west, Kenya & Tanzania border of Isabani-Serari, check out from Kenya and apply for Tanzania Visa and registration formality. You enjoy a picnic lunch and your exciting destination being a name familiar to everyone the Serengeti! You’ll be eager to pursue some more great wildlife spotting opportunities on this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set in the grasslands, savannahs, woods and mountain scenery, which creature will show itself next? These ‘endless plains’ are home to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah, hippo and crocodile _ the adventure has truly begun. At the end of the afternoon, exhausted and exhilarated, it’s back to your chosen accommodation for dinner and to talk about the many fantastic experiences you’ve had today.

Day 05: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast in the morning you will start game drive in the eastern, southern or north part of the park. The aim is to get you within a comfortable driving distance of the massive herds. This does depend on the annual rains. Guides will always try to get you as close as possible, but should the herds not appear when expected, there is plenty of resident game.

Optional activities: Hot air balloon safari on this day, Experience the wildlife of Serengeti National Park in a new, unique way. Wake up early to catch the sunrise, as you silently fly over the plain of Serengeti National Park. Admire the heads of wildebeest, buffaloes, and elephant and enjoy the Serenetranquility of the bush Africa.

You will take off early at down around 5:00 for a flight that lasts for approximately 1 hour. Rise as the sunrise and float in whatever direction the winds of the morning takes you. Fly higher than the trees and hills and enjoy the best Tanzania, with many great photo opportunities of the scenery and wildlife below.

After a smooth landing you can celebrate this amazing adventure with a Bush Breakfast “Out of African Style” and followed by glass of champagne – your driver will pick you up for your full-day game drive. Price for balloon safari is US$ 550 per person

Day 06: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro

The stirring sounds of Africa will rouse you from your sleep. You make the most of the by 8:00 start, heading for your morning game drive section, later, afternoon the adventure continues when you travel to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

In Serengeti there is always something new to experience and see. With more than 2million herbivores and many more predators, and the changing of seasons and natural light, with the help of driver guide you sport as many more species as possible, teaching you about their fascinating habit and habitats.

After lunch in the picnic is time to drive to another African Africa spectacular wildlife setting, the world famous Ngorongoro Crater. On the arrival, settle in the accommodation while a test, hot dinner is prepared for you

Day 07: Ngorongoro Crater

At sunrise, we descend 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Animals that you may find in the crater include wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo and elephant.

Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is the dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Tour the Lerai Forest with its yellow-barked acacias, searching for giant-tusked elephant, rare black rhino and black- mined lion. Bird lovers can view flamingo and other species, which share the shallow waters with a big game. You may also see Maasai herdsmen and their cattle the crater is in their territory, and the Maasai continue to coexist with wildlife as they have for centuries.

Stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo pool and watch resident hippos bobbing in the river. Ascend the crater in the afternoon depart to your accommodation in the carter rim.

Day 08: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. En-route you will take the opportunity to stop and explore Mto wa Mbu Village. This village is considered a melting pot of the many different tribes in Tanzania. You will love to explore the busy and interesting marketplace. You will arrive at your accommodation, in time to settle in and enjoy a hot lunch. Then in the afternoon you will enjoy a game drive in the park.

Stretching for 50km’s along the base of the 600 meters high Rift Valley Escarpment, Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting described by Ernest Hemingway as the “loveliest I had seen in Africa”. The compact game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a virtual microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience. From the entrance gate, the road winds through an expanse of lush jungle-like groundwater where hundred strong baboon troops lounge nonchalantly along the roadside, blue monkeys scamper nimbly between the ancient mahogany trees, dainty bushbuck tread warily through the shadows, and forest hornbills honk high in the jungle canopy. The park is world famous for its tree climbing lions which you may be lucky to observe. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos, elephant, giraffe, large buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, baboons and blue monkeys.

Day 09: Lake Manyara to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast proceed to Namanga border from your lodge, enjoy a short drive to Lake Manyara National Park. En-route we will take the opportunity to stop and explore Mto wa Mbu Village. This village is considered a melting pot of the many different tribes in Tanzania. The children will love to explore the busy and interesting marketplace. You will arrive at your accommodation, Lake Manyara Serena Lodge in time to settle in and enjoy a hot lunch. In the evening you will enjoy a game drive.

Day 10: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, you start today with the morning section of your game drive in Amboseli National Park. The park is famous for being the best spot in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the Maasai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro – the highest free-standing mountain in the world. This day you explore five main wildlife habitats open grassland plains, acacia woodland, rocky thorn bush, swamps and marshland that characterize Amboseli. These ecosystems are home to gazelles, elephants, buffaloes, lions, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, hippos among others. The presence of the permanent swamp makes birdlife in Amboseli abundant.
