Safari From Ngorongoro to Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti – Retimna Hippo Pool and Serengeti NP Itinerary

Day 1: Ngorongoro

In the morning, your driver guide will come to pick you from your accommodation or from the airport. He will drive your to Tarangire NP to find the big baobab trees or Manyara NP to see the pink-coloured lake because of flamingos. Enjoy a gamedrive with picnic lunch in Tarangire or Manyara NP. Dinner and overnight stay at Panorama View campsite or Manyara Kirurumu Lodge, both with a nice view over Manyara park (or any other place of your preference).

Day 2: Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Serengeti NP. On the way, you will pass a viewpoint at the rim of Ngorongoro Crater where you will have an amazing view on the crater. Game-drive en-route through the endless plains of Serengeti to Seronera in the center of the park. Picnic lunch at Naabi hill gate surrounded by a bunch of starlings. Dinner and overnight stay at Seronera campsite or Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp (or any other place of your preference).

Day 3: Serengeti – Retimna Hippo Pool

After breakfast, there will be a full day game-drive in Serengeti NP in search of the leopard and other animals. In addition, you will pass by the great stinky Retimna hippo-pool. It is amazing to see so many hippo’s sunbathing together. Picnic lunch at campsite or lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Seronera campsite or Serengeti Kati Kati Tented Camp (or any other place of your preference).

Day 4: Serengeti Game Drives

Early morning game-drive in Serengeti NP until noon in which you will probably see the most amazing sunrise ever. Because you leave just before sunrise, you may be lucky to see a lion hunting for zebra. Tasty brunch at campsite or picnic lunch in lodge. Drive to Ngorongoro area and on the way you may find several lion on the rocks, so-called kopjes. Dinner and overnight stay at Simba campsite or Rhino Lodge (or any other place of your preference).

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater

You will leave the campsite early for a morning game-drive in Ngorongoro Crater where you will find a high concentration of wild animals. Hopefully, you will see a rhinoceros closely. Enjoy your Lunch in the crater. After leaving Ngorongoro, you will drive back to your accommodation in Moshi/Arusha or another place.
